A love of making.
I’m Connie Sue, and I love to create and make! I’m an occupational and recreational therapist, a Master Gardener, an ever-learning herbalist, and a horse lover. Soap-making brings those parts of my life together.

From the kitchen
to the soap room.
After losing our home to a fire in 2007, rebuilding brought challenges. By 2011, I was exploring simpler soaps for my family. Curiosity led to research, classes, and kitchen experiments—and eventually a soap room. Each item is made, cut, packaged, and labeled by hand.

Thoughtful ingredients.
Everyday rituals.
Oils, fats, butters, and botanicals—there’s always something to learn! Some soaps use animal fats; others feature plant and mineral colors. Essential oils are chosen for scent. I enjoy making products my family likes to use.
Keep learning.
Keep giving.
My parents taught me to keep learning, do better, and give. Whether I’m gardening, teaching, or making soap, I carry that with me. Thank you for encouraging this adventure!

It takes a village.
It takes a village! My daughter Jenny, Casey Jo, the Rowe family, Stacy, Gina, Tabatha, and Becky have shared their hands, ideas, friendship, and encouragement. I’m grateful for my circle—and for everyone who supports Good Horse Scents.
